The crew from Stumpy's were at the house right at 7:45 a.m. and my husband and I were blown away by their teamwork and politeness. My trees all look great and they make sure they clean up everything. We have used Stumpy's before and will continue to use them. HIGHLY recommend them.

If I could give more than 5 Stars I would. I had 2 huge oak trees removed and the entire project was completed with the utmost professional service. They were on time (in fact early!), neat and the project was completed in an amazingly timely fashion. The employees worked in sync; each one knowing their roles. I wouldn't have any other company do tree work. Thanks Stumpy!

No question, they are the best!

I have now used them on multiple occasions to trim my 3 large trees. From the initial estimate where Glenn explains how everything would be done in detail to the appointment scheduling with Brianna to the walkthrough with the trimming crew on the morning of the work where the estimate notes are reviewed with the crew, and the final clean-up, the entire end-to-end process is top-notch and very professional!

I intend to call them again and yes, I highly recommend them!

I had the pleasure of hiring Mike Newcomb from Stumpy’s new South Shore branch to remove, trim, and prune some trees in my property. Everything, from start to finish, was fantastic: the pricing was great, Mike was consistently great at communication, the work was excellent, the crew was respectful and mindful of my property. Moreover, they went above and beyond to ensure that their work was done correctly and minimize any risks to my property, which I felt was in good hands. I cannot recommend them any more highly or enthusiastically. I will be calling Mike again for any of my future tree needs.

The most important thing to me with any tree work is the finish cleaning. When this crew left I couldn’t tell they had even showed up my yard was so clean. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would. When the team arrived, they confirmed the work to be done and where it would be done. One item they needed to do was to tie two trees together with a cable. They apologized that they would need to come back as they forgot the cable. As any good company and team would do they sent someone out with the cable so the work could be finished in one day. Total professionalism. Can not recommend them enough.

Have completed multiple jobs with them- single downed trees, multiple tree project across property, clean up limbs, stump grinding. Some included climbing trees, some included crane work. 5-star service all the way. Usually complete the job within days of the quote. Easy online payment. Rates are better than others around.

Precision Tree Pruning

When our trained arborists step onto your premises, they view each tree as a distinctive element within your green space, taking its contribution to the landscape’s grand scheme into account. Our pruning methods are customized, employing strategies like crown cleaning, reduction, raising, thinning, and shaping to bolster tree health and augment the beauty of your surroundings. Strategic pruning goes beyond aesthetics, offering stability and security, particularly when confronted with New England’s increasingly severe storms.

Our pruning services cater to various needs, from making room for solar panels and ensuring clear utility lines to expanding your home or brightening specific areas with natural light. If more than pruning isn’t needed, we’re prepared to recommend and conduct tree removal to better suit your landscape’s requirements. With Stumpy’s Tree Service, you can rest assured that your tree care necessities are in the hands of seasoned professionals.

Removing Essential Trees

Tree removal is an integral part of maintaining any landscape for both homes and businesses. In the tough winters of eastern Massachusetts, characterized by dense snow and strong winds, trees can become damaged, creating potential hazards. Additionally, trees may decline due to pests, diseases, or age, losing their aesthetic or becoming dangerous. Other times, trees may need to be removed to accommodate new structures like pools, courts, play areas, or extensions. At Stumpy’s Tree Service, our arborists are well-prepared to manage the safe excision of trees from your estate. Our fleet is fully outfitted with the latest in tree service technology, assuring that every job is performed with efficiency and care. We are committed to prioritizing safety and integrity.

Expert Stump Grinding

Removing tree stumps can dramatically enhance the visual appeal of your property, which makes stump grinding a service of significant value. Stumps can mar the landscape and interfere with mowing and landscaping, not to mention the safety risks they pose. Whether included as part of a tree removal service or as an individual task, Stumpy’s Tree Service stands ready to grind down any stumps on your property.

Our knowledgeable estimators will review stump grinding options with you and provide a detailed estimate. Even if we weren’t the service that removed your tree, we can tackle existing stumps. The cost for grinding is influenced by the stump’s size and location on your land. We’ll give you a free estimate upon assessing the site. Our priority remains safety; hence, we take all necessary precautions, including utility line marking, before grinding. While stump grinding doesn’t remove every root, it reduces stumps to about 2 inches below the soil, allowing for straightforward replanting or mulching. Utilizing powerful grinding machines, we efficiently convert stumps and roots into wood chips, swiftly completing the process.
